About Urangara

The Urangara Merino Stud was established in 1993 by John and Leanne Huf with the purchase of stud ewes and rams from Nareeb Nareeb. A Poll Stud commenced in 2014 and was registered in 2020. (Reg Poll Flock No 1617). Glenlea Park, Stockman (Tas) and Urangara sires having the most influence.

Urangara is situated 10 kms west of Cavendish on the Cavendish/Coleraine Road, in South West Victoria.
The property mainly consists of light sandy soils with native and improved pastures around the southern end of the Dundas Mountain Range.

The Urangara flock sheep typically cut 6 kgs average of 18.5 - 20.0 micron wool. The sheep are early maturing and large framed.
